What We Believe
At
St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church
At St. Bartholomew’s our faith beliefs are very well stated in either the Apostles’ Creed or the Nicene Creed. We believe in the need to be Baptized and then following up with living according to the promises we made at Baptism. One such important promise is to participate in Communion otherwise known as the Breaking of the Bread. Sermon’s focus on hearing what Holy Scripture provides to us for living out our lives with Jesus Christ. Above all belief is that God is alive and not some fictional character. The living God in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is to us a relational God reaching out to each of us with a caring and forgiving love.
Together with loving and worshiping our Lord we strive to practice His second commandment to love each other. We do this in many ways. We worship together. We have fellowship in various activities and we stay close to and help our members. We do not call ourselves a congregation but rather a family. I could go on with more of our beliefs but why not come and spend four Sundays with us? This may be the place for you.
