Diocesan Youth Events
Breakout is a 24-hour spiritual retreat for 4th-6th graders. This fast-paced overnight event is filled with games, the Holy Spirit, and homemade marshmallows. Participants do a variety of activities to help them understand pulling away from their parents and making faith their own. Breakout is held once a year.

Happening is a weekend spiritual retreat for 10-12th graders. Other high school students put together an incredibly moving weekend filled with learning, sharing, and building relationships. Through videos, skits, talks, and more, candidates see how God and their faith fit in with the ups and downs of high school life. Happening is held three times a year: in January, April, and September. Ninth graders may attend the April Happening.

Serving 6th-8th graders, New Beginnings is a weekend spiritual retreat designed to help participants navigate their middle school years. High school team put together the retreat, which is filled with love, fun, and God. New Beginnings takes place once a year.

Our Diocesan summer camp serves children and youth ages 6-18. Our sessions are full of games, Christian formation, and friendship. We also offer a leadership program and a counselor-intraining program. Find more information at campweed.org.

All of our youth programs are led by youth and adults who make up team. These people serve the participants throughout the weekend.
